Bolt provides one-click checkout, payments and fraud protection software for online retailers.
Overview
Bolt is a San Francisco company that makes one-click checkout software for online stores. Its Bolt Checkout recognizes returning shoppers across a network of more than 100 million US shoppers, so they can check out in one click. Bolt also offers payments and fraud protection and works with a store's existing ecommerce platform and payment processor.
For Shopify brands
- Bolt Checkout recognizes shoppers who have a Bolt account, even on their first visit to the store, and lets them check out in one click.
- Bolt works with the store's existing ecommerce platform and payment processor, and Checkout OS is described as needing no rip-and-replace.
- Bolt Payments and fraud protection are available alongside checkout, with chargeback protection offered through Total Fraud Protection.
How it works
Bolt replaces the store's checkout with a lightweight modal, so shoppers stay on the brand's site. Shoppers save their details at the end of a first purchase to create a Bolt account. On later visits to any merchant on the Bolt Network, Bolt recognizes them by email or phone number and sends a one-time password to sign them in.
